You need to keep your friends in the loop. You need to remember that you are trying to get over your ex, and one of the best ways
to do that is to use your resources you have around you. You have close friends that are always willing to listen to what you have to say
and return your thoughts with great advice. Use your resources; surround yourself around this love as often as you can. Pretty soon, you
will find yourself thinking less and less about your ex as long as you place yourself in this surrounding. You need to keep use this option
and find happiness in other sections of your life.
Do you keep a journal or a notebook? For a male, I understand that this tip might seem farfetched but seriously, write down how
you feel and write down the occasional poems as they come to you. This is going to help you see your progression and in most cases, help
you achieve a feeling of success. Breaking up might as well equivalent to losing your job that
you have had for so many years. Literally, you are losing a piece of you. Write down the good
memories that you guys shared and discard the bad ones. This will help you maintain the respect that you had for your ex, and help the
“band-aid” process.
Make sure you exercise. Doing this will help improve your good mood, it will help the self image, it will help you feel good about
yourself, and will help your body feel well. Doing so will help you maintain positive thinking. Stay true to yourself, don’t be
fooled.
Try to think of the breaking up as a brand new start. Before you started, what did you have? Make sure you “clean-up” and get things
back to how they were. Take this one step further and literally, clean up. Keep things tidy,
this will keep you active and busy which will help you get your brain off of the breaking up process. Take down pictures, memories,
anything physical.
Breaking up is hard, but beatable. The feeling is temporary and you just have to keep yourself motoring through the swamp. It will
pass, and with help of your friends, you’ll be okay and as good as new.
